Play & Talk Therapy
for children and adolescents navigating high-conflict divorce, grief, loss, and change
Expert play and talk therapy to support children and adolescents during challenging times.
Children and adolescents face a complicated world.
Getting your child or adolescent the best clinical help they need when life becomes challenging matters.
In the midst of divorce, sometimes high conflict, and other complicated forms of grief and loss that makes things hard for them at home and at school, play and talk therapy can help children and adolescents safely work through their emotional and psychological suffering. Play is communication, just as much as talking is, and as a well trained and attentive play and talk therapist, I'm here to help.
Skillful play and talk therapy can help make it easier.

The symbolic patterns of a child’s play are complex, and play is the best therapeutic intervention for children when they cannot communicate their emotional and psychological struggles with words. In analyzing play themes, I can help children therapeutically work through what is keeping them stuck.

Adolescents face a complicated interpersonal, academic, and social world. In listening deeply to them, I seek to support their growing sense of autonomy while also carefully respecting their youthfulness with psycho-education, questions, limit setting, and a safe and skillful place for them to be seen and heard.

Parents and caregivers need compassion, meaningful clinical support and pragmatic guidance in raising their children in a relentlessly perfectionist culture. When divorce, separation, loss or change happen, I work closely with parents and caregivers, along with other mental health providers, teachers, parent coordinators, attorneys for children, and sometimes the court system, to help them keep their children safe and "intact" during turbulent times.
